The Guntur police have made multi-layered security arrangements for the special yoga session for the International Yoga Day celebrations to be held at the historic Undavalli Caves in Tadepalli mandal on June 20. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and yoga guru Baba Ramdev are scheduled to participate in the programme. Both will participate at the State-level event in Vijayawada on June 21.
Guntur Superintendent of Police Vakul Jindal, along with District Collector C.M. Sai Kanth Varma and senior officials, inspected the venue at Undavalli Caves on Thursday. They reviewed security, traffic and crowd management plans.
The officials examined VIP movement routes, vehicle parking areas, public entry and exit points, emergency response systems and deployment of security personnel. An Advance Security Liaison (ASL) meeting was also held to coordinate arrangements among various departments.
Mr. Jindal said comprehensive security measures were being implemented to prevent any untoward incidents during the celebrations. He directed all departments to work in close coordination with the police to ensure seamless arrangements.
The Guntur district police urged participants and visitors to follow traffic advisories and cooperate with security personnel.
