My iPhone is on silent most of the time, but a new iOS 26 ringtone has me very tempted to rethink that choice because it’s such a nice tune. Here is my new favorite iPhone ringtone.
‘Dreamer’ in iOS 26 is a beautiful reimagining of the default iPhone ringtone

I remember the early days of smartphones, when ringtones were a big deal. Since cell phones couldn’t do much beyond calling, texting, and maybe hosting a few games, the ringtone list was an important feature.
These days, ringtones are surpassed by the million other things an iPhone can do. But that hasn’t stopped Apple from offering new ringtone options from time to time.
In iOS 26, iPhone earned seven brand new bells. All but one are fun variations on the default ‘Reflection’ ringtone, plus there’s a completely unique ‘Little Bird’ addition.
I love that Apple chose to reimagine the iPhone’s default ringtone instead of offering completely different sounds.
The ‘Reflection’ ringtone is iconic at this point, and each of the six new options is beautifully done—not just cheap remixes.
As much as I love all the new additions, my standout favorite is daydreamer. You can listen to it below.
It still echoes the default tone, but with a fun lo-fi twist.
All the other Reflection alternatives are also great. Some additional favorites are Surge and Reflected.
