WATCH: Adil Rashid castles Sam Curran with a beauty as MIL edge past SOB in The Hundred Men’s 2026

Adil Rashid reminded everyone why he remains one of the most dangerous leg-spinners in white-ball cricket with a sensational delivery to clean up Sam Curran during Southern Brave’s The Hundred Men’s 2026 clash against MI London. Although Southern Brave eventually fell short in a nail-biting contest, Rashid’s wicket of Curran quickly became one of the standout moments of the match and was widely shared across social media.

The dismissal came at a crucial stage of MI London’s chase when Curran and Will Jacks had steadied the innings after an early collapse. With the visitors looking to take control, Rashid produced a moment of magic that briefly swung the momentum back in Southern Brave’s favour.

Adil Rashid castles Sam Curran with a beauty

Rashid struck on the 69th ball of the chase with a beautifully flighted leg-break that completely deceived Sam Curran. Slowing the ball through the air and giving it generous flight, the veteran spinner tempted Curran into an attacking stroke. The left-hander committed early to the shot but was beaten by the sharp turn as the ball sneaked through the gap and crashed into the stumps.

Curran departed after scoring a valuable 30 off 29 deliveries, an innings that included one four and one six. The breakthrough sparked celebrations among the Southern Brave players as Rashid once again showcased his ability to deliver under pressure.

MI London survive late scare to clinch thrilling win

Chasing 130, MI London recovered from an early wobble thanks to a composed 54 from Jacks and a useful contribution from Curran. Marcus Stoinis kept Southern Brave in the contest with an outstanding spell of 3/17, dismissing both Jacks and Curran during the chase. The match went right down to the final ball after late wickets and a dramatic run-out increased the tension. Ollie Pope held his nerve to guide MI London home, collecting the winning runs on the last delivery to seal a three-wicket victory at the Utilita Bowl.

Earlier, Southern Brave struggled to build momentum after being asked to bat first, with Jamie Smith top-scoring with 49. Trent Boult starred with the new ball for MI London, claiming 2/15, as the home side managed only 129/9 from their 100 balls. The victory lifted MI London to third place in the standings, while Southern Brave suffered their third defeat of the tournament despite Rashid’s memorable dismissal of Curran.
