Suryakumar Yadav takes cheeky dig at Mohammad Rizwan in viral practice session

The former India National Cricket Team captain Suryakumar Yadav has been doing his net session to make a comeback into the Men in Blue squad once again after being dropped from the leadership role and losing his place in the side. During the net session on Tuesday, he had made fun of former Pakistan National Cricket Team captain Mohammad Rizwan.

Suryakumar Yadav had a video of the net session where he was seen batting indoors. In the Instagram story uploaded by the former India captain, he trolled Mohammad Rizwan from his famous batting session in the nets, where he was speaking wrong English and got trolled, and now the former India skipper has taken a dig at his English.

Suryakumar Yadav trolls Mohammad Rizwan

While posting the Instagram story, Suryakumar Yadav stated about the famous one-liner from Rizwan, ‘Yes is a two’. The former tweaked it a bit and gave it a new caption on the story.

He stated, ‘Yes is a one’, Fans frequently poke fun at Mohammad Rizwan’s on-field communication and English-speaking style, particularly a viral clip where he loudly yells, “Oh yes, it’s a two!” while running between the wickets or reacting on the field. The first time it was uploaded on social media was around March and April 2025 and resurfaced during matches in 2026.

Has Suryakumar Yadav trolled Pakistan Cricketers earlier?

Previously, SKY has trolled the current Pakistan Test team captain Babar Azam and Rizwan as well for their unusual warm-up routine, which went viral across social media platforms. He did it in the net session ahead of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 Super 8 clash against South Africa on February 22.

Then the Indian captain performed the funny squats, mimicking Babar and Rizwan with a serious face, which made it look even funnier. The Pakistani duo went viral while they were doing squats, as they were seen performing strange stretches with steady hip movements and odd arm stretching.

Why was Suryakumar Yadav removed as India’s captain?

SKY has been dropped from the India team after he had a poor string of scores during the Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. He led the side to their third T20 World Cup title at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, as his side defeated New Zealand in the final by 96 runs to defend the trophy.

SKY had a poor World Cup as he scored 241 runs in 9 matches with one fifty across those nine innings, and after that followed the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, where he failed to perform for the Mumbai Indians (MI), scoring 270 runs with an average of just above 20 and a strike rate of under 150, which showcased his struggle.

Suryakumar Yadav will look to work hard and try to make a possible comeback to the side, as he has not announced his retirement from the shortest format of the game. He was last seen playing in the T20 Mumbai 2026, where he was the captain of Triumph Knights Mumbai North East (MNE).
