“MISA-The Last Breath”, a play depicting the custodial torture and persecution suffered by activist and artiste Snehalatha Reddy during the Emergency, will be staged at the T.K. Ramakrishnan Memorial Centre near the Ernakulam boat jetty here on Tuesday.
Chilanka Floating Theatre will stage the play, which had recently stirred up a controversy, at 6 p.m. The second edition of the book Jail Diary will be released on the occasion, according to a communication. S. Sathish, Ernakulam district secretary of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) [CPI(M)], will release the book published by Chintha Publishers. Ravitha Haridas, State secretary of Vanitha Sahithi, will receive the copy.
