Former India T20I skipper Suryakumar Yadav is set to part ways with sports management agency RISE Worldwide, according to News 24 Deputy Sports Editor Vaibhav Bhola. RISE Worldwide has ties to Reliance Industries, which also owns the Mumbai Indians (MI) franchise in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Suryakumar struggled for consistency during the previous season, and questions continue to surround his future with the franchise. Mumbai Indians, led by Hardik Pandya, failed to qualify for playoffs and finished ninth with four wins. The batter has been a key part of the five-time champions since IPL 2018.
Reports Spark Speculation Over Suryakumar Yadav’s RISE Worldwide Ties
Vaibhav Bhola stated that Suryakumar Yadav is set to part ways with RISE Worldwide. The report attracted attention because the sports management firm is owned by Reliance Industries, which also owns Mumbai Indians (MI).
“Suryakumar Yadav Is All Set To Part Ways With Rise Worldwide. RISE Worldwide is owned by Reliance Industries Limited. Reliance Industries Owns Mumbai Indians. Till Now Suryakumar Yadav Is Part Of Mumbai Indians,” Bhola wrote on X.
However, Suryakumar has not officially announced any decision to leave RISE Worldwide. The agency still lists him among its managed athletes and has continued to handle his commercial activities.
In August 2026, RISE Worldwide facilitated a partnership between Suryakumar and Major League Baseball (MLB) as part of an effort to promote the sport in India.
Suryakumar Yadav Has Been With RISE Worldwide Since 2021
Suryakumar Yadav has been associated with RISE Worldwide since July 2021. The agency handles his global commercial representation, brand endorsements, public appearances, and licensing deals, while his on-field cricket contracts remain separate.
His association with the agency has also included several major commercial campaigns. In 2026, RISE Worldwide helped secure Suryakumar’s role as a global brand ambassador for Skyscanner India and worked on his collaboration with Major League Baseball.
Suryakumar also joined a high-profile athlete roster that includes Indian cricketers such as Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah. As of now, there has been no official confirmation that his management contract with RISE Worldwide has ended.
IPL 2026 Struggles Fuel Suryakumar Yadav-MI Speculation
The reports surrounding Suryakumar Yadav’s management relationship have emerged after a difficult IPL 2026 campaign for both the batter and Mumbai Indians. Suryakumar scored 270 runs in 13 innings at an average of 20.76.
