£749 is a price usually reserved for mid-range phones, yet the Xiaomi 17 is Xiaomi’s flagship, built around the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.
Usually £999, the Xiaomi 17 has dropped to £749 in a Daily Picks deal, saving you £250 and giving you 25% off a phone Xiaomi built as its answer to the iPhone 17 and Galaxy S26.
Xiaomi’s Leica-powered flagship has a £250 discount that disappears tonight
Packing a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, a 6300mAh battery and 100W charging, the Xiaomi 17 has dropped from £999 to just £749, a 25% saving.
A quarter off is a steep cut for a 2026 flagship. The Xiaomi 17 only reached global shelves in March, and with a countdown already running on this deal, the £250 saving is available only until tonight.
That saving lands on serious hardware, with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 keeping the Xiaomi 17 impressively cool through half an hour of maxed-out Genshin Impact in our testing while breezing through heavy multitasking and video editing.
Stamina follows the same pattern, with a 6300mAh battery bigger than the one in Xiaomi’s own 17 Ultra regularly leaving our reviewer with well over 40% at the end of the day, while an hour of HDR Netflix used just 4%.
Topping up is equally impressive, as 100W wired charging took our test unit from flat to almost 65% in half an hour, while 50W wireless charging keeps desk top-ups quick on a compatible Xiaomi pad.
Plenty of that charge goes into the Leica-branded triple 50MP camera system, where our reviewer praised lifelike colours, a telephoto lens that focuses as close as 10cm for macro shots and 4K60 Log video on every rear lens.
Somehow it all fits inside a 6.3-inch, 191g body with a 3500-nit OLED screen that stays readable in direct sunlight, and a clear case plus a factory-fitted screen protector arrive in the box ready to go.
Switch it on and HyperOS 3 on Android 16 lets you restyle almost everything, down to the animations, with Gemini as the default assistant and Circle to Search ready to identify anything you see on screen.
Compact-phone fans who refuse to trade away flagship power get everything they want here, and with £250 off until tonight, the Xiaomi 17 costs £749 for anyone ready to move before the countdown runs out.
