The TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, marquee clash between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) took place at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. CSK captain won the toss and elected to field, both sides came with an unchanged XI. RCB openers Virat Kohli and Phil Salt had a steady start.
However, Tim David had other plans as he smacked 30 runs off Jamie Overton’s 19th over, as the Aussie batter smashed four sixes in the over. He did some ruthless hitting after taking some balls, and all the ball dissappeard in the boundary. As RCB put 250 of their 20 overs and David was unbeaten with the score of 70 off 25 deliveries.

Tim David and Rajat Patidar stitched a partnership of 99 runs for the fourth wicket, in which the most runs were scored by Tim David. The fans liked the brute force of Tim David on the night as he helped RCB to set up a mammoth total.

Virat Kohli had little impact; he was dismissed for 28 off 18 balls. After that, Salt took charge and scored aggressively. Salt was dismissed for 46, and Devdutt Padikkal took over from where he left off in the previous game, scoring a furious half-century before being dismissed by Jamie Overton.
Captain Rajat Patidar was not in the mood to slow down, as he maintained a strong run rate and scored quickly. The captain was unbeaten at the score of 48 runs and hardly got any batting as Tim David was smacking the CSK bowlers all around the park.
