Sara Tendulkar can be in a delicate situation when the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will be up against the Gujarat Titans (GT) for an IPL 2026 match. On the upcoming Sunday, LSG is scheduled to take on GT at the Ekana Stadium at 3.30 PM.
Sara Tendulkar’s brother, Arjun Tendulkar, who was a part of the Mumbai Indians for multiple seasons, joined LSG ahead of the IPL 2026 season. Arjun Tendulkar, a pace bowling all-rounder, got to play a very limited number of matches for the 5-time IPL-winning side.
Why Arjun Tendulkar joined LSG from the Mumbai Indians
With the hope of getting more opportunities, he joined LSG. He is yet to play his first IPL match for the Lucknow Super Giants.

“You played a few matches for the Mumbai Indians (MI) and bowled well. Your swing was good, so did you feel you should have gotten more opportunities?” Arjun Tendulkar was asked the question while talking in an interview on Shubhankar Mishra’s podcast.
“Who doesn’t feel that? No one wants to sit on the bench. But we want to work hard and perform when we get a chance,” he replied.
LSG is all set to go toe-to-toe against Shubman Gill’s GT
For the next match, Arjun’s team will lock horns against the Gujarat Titans. Shubman Gill is the captain of GT, and that’s why some paparazzi asked Sara Tendulkar to choose between LSG and GT.
LSG will be her brother’s side, and GT will be her rumoured boyfriend’s side. For a long time now, cricket fans on social media platforms have been speculating about the possible relationship between Sara and Shubman. Though neither of them said a single word about this.
What did Sara Tendulkar say when she was asked about the LSG vs GT match?
When Sara was asked to choose between LSG and GT, she blushed and smiled, but did not utter a word in response.

As of now, both teams, Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans, are not in a comfortable position in the IPL 2026 points table, after playing three matches. With a couple of wins, LSG is now sitting at the 5th spot with 4 points and a net run rate of -0.359, while with only one win and two defeats, Shubman Gill-led Gujarat Titans is on the seventh spot with only 2 points. Ahead of their Sunday fixture, both teams have claimed a win each.
Last night in Kolkata, LSG got a massive win against the Kolkata Knight Riders. Mukul Choudhary and the uncapped emerging batter of Lucknow played a match-winning knock to secure the win for the team.
Under pressure, the middle-order batter smashed an unbeaten fifty-plus run knock to claim all the points from the away match. LSG got the win in the penultimate ball of the match. Ayush Badoni, another young batter of Lucknow, played well in the run chase.
