JEE Main is the exam for engineering aspirants. It is divided into two papers – with paper one testing candidate’s knowledge for BE and BTech. programmes and paper two on B.Arch. and B.Planning. Paper one is split into two sections – section A containing 20 questions and section B containing 5 questions across all the three subjects – physics, chemistry and mathematics.
Similarly, B.Arch. will test the candidates on their mathematics prowess, aptitude and drawing skills. B.Planning is similar except it tests the candidate’s knowledge on planning skills instead of their drawing ability. It should be noted that there is negative marking of one mark for every question that is wrong, zero mark for every unattempted question and four marks for every correct response.
