A bright start with two wins was followed by consecutive losses before they edged past Royal Challengers Bengaluru in a tense finish, thanks to David Miller. While their batting has lacked consistency, timely contributions have kept them competitive.
Head coach Hemang Badani summed up SRH’s approach, saying, “They are obviously a side which looks to go hard, which looks to play a certain kind of cricket which is high impact, high aggression,” but warned that it “also means high risk.” He believes Delhi’s bowling unit can exploit that aggressive style.
Interestingly, the contest might also flip, with SRH’s bowlers—especially emerging pacers—posing a challenge to Delhi’s unpredictable batting lineup. The head-to-head record remains tight, with SRH holding a slight edge, making this encounter even more compelling.
SRH will once again miss Pat Cummins, though they will bank on home advantage to push for a third straight win in Hyderabad. Meanwhile, Delhi aim to build momentum and break into the top four. With both teams chasing consistency, a closely fought battle is on the cards.
