ECI orders suspension of five police officers in West Bengal over alleged poll misconduct
The Election Commission of India suspends five officers, and disciplinary proceedings are initiated for their serious misconduct and failure to maintain neutrality during the West Bengal Legislative Elections 2026. The suspended officers include Sandip Garai, Addl. SP, Diamond Harbour; Sajal Mondal, SDPO, Diamond Harbour; Mausam Chakraborty, Inspector in Charge, Diamond Harbour Police Station; Ajay Bag, Inspector in Charge, Falta Police Station; Subhechha Bag, Officer in Charge, Usthi Police Station.
