Vaibhav Sooryavanshi fires back at ‘AI bat’ jokes with hilarious take after win against PBKS

The TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 have crossed the halfway stage, with Vaibhav Sooryavanshi now leading the chart for the top run scorer with 400 runs in the competition. The 15-year-old sensation is ruling the rich cash league with his phenomenal batting display. Vaibhav has been the youngest ever cricketer to score a century in the IPL last season.

This season, the Southpaw has also come with tremendous form and has been striking the ball fantastically. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi scored a brilliant 36-ball hundred in the game against the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). In the innings, he smashed 12 sixes and five boundaries. Currently, nobody has a faster bat speed than Vaibhav in world cricket.

Watching the teen sensation’s innings against SRH, Pakistan cricket analyst Nauman Niaz accused him of installing an AI chip in his bat to increase power. This came after the wonderkid lit up the IPL with his sensational power hitting against some of the world’s best bowlers. He has already smacked a first-ball six facing Jasprit Bumrah, Josh Hazlewood, and Pat Cummins.

Bhagwan ne laga ke diya hai- Vaibhav Sooryavanshi

Now, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, after once again playing a knock of 43 runs last night off 13 balls and helping RR win against the Punjab Kings last night, has replied to Nauman’s comments.

“Bhagwan ne laga ke diya hai. Upar he bola tha ki bat mein tumhare kuch laga ke de raha hu, ussi ka istemal kar raha hu (God has put something in it (bat)). He had already said from above that I’m giving you something in your bat — I’m just using that),” Vaibhav said in a video shared by Rajasthan Royals on X.

Jai-Soorya is creating fear among opponents

The duo of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi have created fear among the opposition as the two left-handed batters have been firing all guns from the very first ball. In the last match, they also brought up the fifty in just three overs and laid the foundation for the chase.

Yashasvi Jaiswal, after RR’s win, said in the post-match interview about his partner Sooryavanshi, “Of course, it’s amazing. I really enjoyed batting with him and he’s playing amazing. So it’s always, I’m always happy seeing the other end, the way he’s hitting the ball. (on him being the older one in the partnership with Sooryavanshi) I don’t think so.”

“I’m older. I’m still very young, but of course, the way he is and he’s quite young. So, I don’t know what to say about it, to be honest. (plan for the chase?) Of course, we knew that it’s a high-scoring ground. So we have to keep the intent and we have to go whenever we feel like.”

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is creating records

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s T20 sixes tally has moved on to 99. He is currently only one ball shy of becoming the world’s fastest batter to hit 100 sixes in the game’s shorter format.

He will surely break some records in this IPL and become the Emerging Player of the Season and also be in contention for the Most Valuable Player of the Season as well.
