The Mysuru Hotel Owners’ Association has strongly condemned the steep hike of ₹991 in the price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder, terming it a ‘severe blow’ to the hospitality sector.

In a statement in Mysuru on May 1, association President C. Narayanagowda said the latest revision has pushed the price of a commercial cylinder in Mysuru to ₹3,132, marking one of the sharpest increases in recent times. He stated that such an unprecedented surge within a short period threatens the survival of hotels, restaurants, and small eateries.
