Yuzvendra Chahal lands in major controversy after vaping video from flight goes viral

Punjab Kings veteran Yuzvendra Chahal lands in major controversy after a vaping video from a flight goes viral. Questions arise over the security breach as airplanes do not allow vapes and e-cigarettes on board.

Punjab Kings have now lost three matches in a row and have slipped away from their top spot in the points table. One of the major reasons for the losses is their poor fielding, and now Chahal’s controversial footage would further raise concerns over the discipline within the team.

Yuzvendra Chahal is in serious trouble after his ‘vaping’ act was caught on camera

Just after the vaping incident of Riyan Parag, which brought discipline in IPL matches under scrutiny, the BCCI strongly reprimanded such action, and another major breach in security and illegal activity surfaced to light.

In one of the videos shared on Arshdeep Singh’s YouTube channel, Yuzvendra Chahal was also on the flight and was caught vaping.

This is yet another serious act of offence and is not a breach of the Code of Conduct of the IPL, but could be considered a crime since vapes and e-cigarettes are prohibited from being carried or used inside airplanes.

After what Yuzvendra Chahal did in the Punjab Kings’ flight from Hyderabad to Himachal, he might land in serious trouble after having violated the laws under the Prohibition of Electronic Cigarettes Act, 2019.

The act clearly mentions that it is illegal to carry or use vapes in both checked and cabin baggage on flights, and possession of such items at airports is forbidden, leading to either confiscation or potential fines, including imprisonment.

The biggest surprise remains how Chahal got it through the security check, and if he had managed to do that using it inside the flight, it might lead to imprisonment of up to three years alongside heavy fines.

PBKS returns to home matches after a three-match losing streak

After a disgusting patch of three consecutive losses in the IPL, the Punjab Kings will head back to their new home ground. Punjab has always had an impressive record both at and away from home, but that has not been the case this season.

Though PBKS’ losing streak started from their own ground in New Chandigarh against the Rajasthan Royals, their next two defeats came in Ahmedabad and Hyderabad, respectively. Now, returning to their new home ground in Dharamshala, they will play the next three out of four remaining matches at the same venue and will be on the quest to regain their form.
