CPI seeks Supreme Court-monitored probe into alleged NEET-2026 paper leak

The Communist Party of India (CPI) State secretary Gujjula Eswaraiah sought a comprehensive probe under the supervision of a sitting Supreme Court judge into the alleged NEET-2026 paper leak case.

Mr. Eswaraiah, in a release on Tuesday, alleged that reports were circulating about the involvement of major Andhra-based corporate groups in the leak racket and urged the Andhra Pradesh government, led by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, to order a thorough investigation into the matter.

Describing the incident as a “serious conspiracy by the education mafia,” he said the leak had jeopardised the future of lakhs of students across the country. He demanded stringent criminal action against all those allegedly involved, including officials, intermediaries and organised networks behind the leak.

The CPI leader referred to reports claiming that the leak network had links to Rajasthan’s Sikar region and alleged that question papers were circulated through WhatsApp and Telegram groups before the examination. He further claimed that more than 100 questions reportedly matched the final NEET examination paper.

Mr. Eswaraiah criticised the National Testing Agency, alleging repeated failures in conducting national-level examinations transparently. He called for a complete overhaul of the agency and accused the Centre of failing to protect the interests of students from poor and middle-class families.

He also urged the Union government to strengthen security mechanisms for national examinations and impose strict controls on what he termed the “corporate coaching mafia” operating in the education sector.
