Minister for Industries and Commerce TG Bharath Gupta on Sunday (May 17) hosted a special lunch at his residence for the top five students from Kurnool constituency, who studied in government schools and secured excellent marks in the recently announced SSC results. Mr. Bharath personally called the students and invited them to his home for having lunch with him.
Congratulating the students on their success and presenting them cash incentives as a reward, Mr. Bharath encouraged the students to continue their excellence in academics and achieve similar results in their future studies.
Mr. Bharath said following the formation of the NDA government, Minister for HRD Nara Lokesh under the leadership of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has introduced several transformative changes in the education sector. “Mr. Lokesh has been making efforts to elevate government schools to compete with private and corporate educational institutions,” he said and added that the efforts paid off with students from government schools have been able to perform commendably in the SSC examinations.
The students who had lunch with the Minister were from the Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Memorial Municipal Corporation High School and they include Pikkili Likhitha (593 marks), Pinjari Gireesha (591), Meesala Meghana (587), and Kuruva Mallikarjuna (581) along with Gajula Rohitha (582) from the C. Camp Municipal High School.
The students and their parents expressed joy over Mr. Bharath personally inviting them to his residence and encourage them. They also thanked Mr. Chandrababu Naidu and Mr. Lokesh.
