The TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, match no.69, has just ended as the Mumbai Indians (MI) took on the Rajasthan Royals in a reverse fixture, and the Men in Pink did a double over the five-time champions, winning the game by 30 runs and qualifying for the playoffs, which ended Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) campaign.
After the win, Rajasthan admin trolled Shreyas Iyer’s side, providing a reply to their previous tweet when they lost to Delhi Capitals (DC) at their home ground. PBKS after the loss wrote “Sorry bhai, aaj nahi! (Sorry, brother, not today).” In reply to that, today, after the win, Royals admin tweeted, “Panga na lo (Don’t mess).”
The incident initially started from a social media post shared by the Rajasthan Royals following their win over the Punjab Kings on April 28. The Royals had referenced a viral tweet from Bollywood actor Salman Khan by posting a video of Donovan Ferreira saying “Sorry Bhai, aaj nahi” while sitting beside his Player of the Match trophy.
The left-arm spinner Harpreet Brar said that the RR had uploaded several reels targeting the Punjab Kings after their victory. He also noted that fortunes might change at any time and that the Punjab Kings’ videos might become viral even after defeats.
Rajasthan Royals troll PBKS after ending playoff hopes
Brar warned that if the Punjab Kings eventually beat the Royals, he would respond harshly. Brar went on to predict that “Dal Bhati Churma” would burn that day and referred to RR’s “aaj nahi bhai” remarks, saying that even if not today, the Punjab Kings would get their time, and they should be prepared.

However, after today’s win, Riyan Parag’s side have qualified for the playoffs and will be facing the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the Eliminator. After today’s win, they took a dig at PBKS, whose qualification was in the hands of MI as they had to win the game in order to qualify. While posting a video of the famous Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor, they trolled.
Jofra Archer the hero for the Royals
Coming to the match, MI won the toss and elected to field first. Yashasvi Jaiswal was off to a flying start and scored 27 runs, but his opening partner, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, could not get going and was out on four runs. However, the former was the first wicket to fall in the match. Riyan Parag also went back early for 14 runs.
Dhruv Jurel and Dasun Shanaka then stitched a partnership of 45 runs, but in huge confusion, the latter, who looked good, had to give his wicket on 29 runs, being run out. However, Jofra Archer, the batter, came to the rescue, scoring 32 runs, and Jurel scored 38 runs as the Royals could only get to a score of 205/8 in their 20 overs
While chasing, MI were never in the chase, losing four wickets early inside the power play, and from there, Suryakumar Yadav and Will Jacks pulled the game towards them. The latter was out on 33 off 18 balls, and SKY played a knock of 60 runs, and captain Hardik Pandya scored 34 runs as they fell short.
