Despite several rumors circulating online, Arshdeep has not deleted every post related to Punjab Kings and still keeps the franchise name in his Instagram bio. It also remains unclear whether some posts were later restored after the sudden profile activity created widespread attention on social media.

One of the biggest surprises from Arshdeep Singh’s Instagram cleanup was the removal of a viral video featuring Virat Kohli. The reel, posted during the recent Champions Trophy campaign, had crossed 150 million views before it was suddenly deleted or archived on Monday night.
Arshdeep has faced heavy social media attention in recent weeks. Along with the controversy involving Tilak Varma, he also drew attention after posting a strong reply to a fan following a defeat and later teasing teammate Priyansh Arya on Snapchat.
The remaining posts on his Instagram account mainly feature family moments, cricket memories, and brand promotions. Neither Arshdeep nor his management team has explained the reason behind the sudden removal of most posts from his profile.

Former India cricketer Laxman Sivaramakrishnan criticized Arshdeep Singh over an alleged racial remark aimed at Tilak Varma. The former spinner demanded strict action against the fast bowler and suggested financial penalties for players involved in such incidents.
“Nobody believed me. Everyone mocked and trolled me. Arshdeep should be banned this season and should be paid on a pro rata basis. The players today should be hit where it hurts the most,” he wrote on X.
“If BCCI takes action, I will name people who racially abused me.”
The controversy started earlier this month after a video clip went viral on social media. In the video, Arshdeep was allegedly heard making comments about Tilak Varma’s skin color and asking whether he used sunscreen. Neither player has publicly responded so far.
Arshdeep Singh Endures Difficult IPL 2026 Season Amid Off-Field Controversies
The off-field controversies came during a difficult IPL 2026 season for Arshdeep Singh. The left-arm pacer struggled with his control in several matches, regularly missing his lengths and conceding wides while bowling during the powerplay and death overs.
Arshdeep finished the season with 14 wickets in 14 matches. Although he ended as Punjab Kings’ leading wicket-taker, he recorded an expensive economy rate of 10.21 and failed to match his usual standards in white-ball cricket.
Punjab Kings narrowly missed out on a playoff spot in IPL 2026. Last season’s runners-up won six of their first seven matches but suffered a major collapse in the second half of the tournament and eventually missed qualification by just one point.
