Samsung is reportedly hiking Galaxy S26 and Fold 7 prices in June

Samsung is planning price increases ranging from €100 to close to €200 across several of its Galaxy device lines as early as next month, with the entire Galaxy S series, the Fold 7, Flip 7, and FE models all reportedly in scope for the adjustment.

Greek publication Techmaniacs reported the increases, with GSMArena also citing the story, pointing to the first week of June as the implementation date in Greece, though the geographic scope of any wider rollout remains unconfirmed.

Rising RAM costs sit behind the pressure on pricing, with component shortages driving up bill-of-materials costs across the Android market and prompting several manufacturers to pass those increases on to consumers, a trend that has accelerated through early 2026 across brands including Motorola and Samsung itself.

That broader industry context matters because Samsung’s scale means its pricing decisions carry more weight than most, with the Galaxy S and Z series setting a reference point for premium Android pricing that competitors and consumers alike use to calibrate expectations across the segment.

Samsung has largely shielded its mainstream flagship lines from visible price adjustments until now, though the Galaxy Z Fold 7 did see increases applied to certain higher-storage configurations earlier this year, making a broader hike that sweeps across the current flagship portfolio a more significant shift in approach.

A €100 to €200 increase on devices that already sit at the upper end of the Android price range would push several Galaxy S26 and Fold 7 configurations closer to, or beyond, pricing territory previously associated with Apple’s iPhone Pro line up in European markets.

Samsung has not commented on the report, and it remains unconfirmed whether the pricing changes will extend beyond the initial regional adjustment or reflect a wider global repricing of the Galaxy line up ahead of any forthcoming launches.
