The Registration Department has appointed two officials as nodal officers to ensure effective coordination, monitoring, implementation and timely execution of activities related to Project STAR 3.0.
The Department is under to process of migrating to STAR 3.0, an upgraded version of its software system, in place of STAR 2.0 to ease the document registration process and provide next-generation computerised services using the latest technologies.
According to an official order issued by Inspector General of Registration G.K. Arun Sundar Thalayan, as the contract period for Project STAR 2.0 has been completed, it has been decided to launch Project STAR 3.0 with innovative technological enhancements to improve service delivery, efficiency and digital transformation in the Registration Department.
P. Kannan, Assistant Inspector General of Registration (Vigilance), and E. Bhavani, District Registrar (Guideline), have been appointed as nodal officers. They will coordinate with all stakeholders, monitor the implementation of Project STAR 3.0 activities, facilitate implementation, resolve operational issues and submit periodic reports.
