Members of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad and National Students’ Union of India clashed at the English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU) campus in wee hours of Friday, leaving several students injured.
The clash took place around 4 a.m. at Basheer Hostel following an initial verbal duel between members of the two student groups, which allegedly escalated into a physical fight.
Osmania University police registered a case and counter-case against members of both the organisations following the incident.
“Initial verbal duel between the two student groups turned into a fight. We have booked cases against both student groups,” police said.
The police are gathering further details about the incident and the injuries reported during the clash.
