Litton Das pulls off a stunning catch to dismiss Ikram Alikhil
The dismissal came when Ebadot Hossain bowled a short delivery angled towards the leg stump. Ikram Alikhil attempted to move inside the line and pull the ball towards fine leg, but he only managed to glove it behind. Litton reacted instantly, taking a couple of steps to his right before diving full stretch to complete an outstanding catch with his right glove. He tumbled to the ground but held on to the ball, prompting his teammates to rush over and celebrate the breakthrough.
Ebadot also saluted the wicketkeeper in appreciation of the effort. Alikhil departed for 33 off 69 deliveries, having struck five boundaries. The wicket came at 77.1 overs in Afghanistan’s second innings and added to Litton’s impressive work behind the stumps, following a couple of excellent catches in the first innings.
