Some of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) players are reportedly spending lazy times as they have some free time ahead of their next fixture in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL). Along with some of the players, a few coaching staff members are also in holiday moods currently.
KKR’s next match will be on May 3. For the 45th match of IPL 2026, the Knight Riders will be up against the Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. It will be a must-win match for both of the teams, as the run to the play-offs has turned more complicated now.
Some KKR players are spending their holidays in Goa
According to the media reports, the captain of the Kolkata Knight Riders, Ajinkya Rahane, and their young keeper-batter Angkrish Raghuvanshi are spending time with their family members, while some of their players are currently in Goa to spend some relaxing moments amid the IPL 2026. Among the coaching staff, Dwayne Bravo and Andre Russell are in the Maldives. If the reports are to be believed, then the full squad will be assembled in Hyderabad tomorrow (April 29).
The reports have created mixed reactions among the fans, as the team is not in a good position in the points table. Since the beginning of the edition, the Purple brigade’s performance has not been up to the mark. Some of the fans across the social media platforms have urged the team members to put their entire focus on the upcoming matches, instead of having fun during the off time.
KKR will have to win all of their remaining matches in IPL 2026
As of now, KKR is at the 8th spot in the IPL 2026 points table. In 8 matches, they have managed to get only a couple of wins. With 4 points from the two wins, and a net run rate of -0.751, the team led by Ajinkya Rahane is currently far away from the top four of the table. On a good note, their previous two figures show two consecutive wins.

Meanwhile, during the previous couple of games, which KKR won, Sunil Narine, Varun Chakravarthy, and Rinku Singh played well. Against the Lucknow Super Giants, Kolkata got the victory through a Super Over.
Sri Lankan pacer Matheesha Pathirana has also joined the camp. He has been doing well in the nets and is expected to make an impact in matches as well soon.
