Can Imtiaz Ali Make a Comeback With Main Vaapas Aaunga?

Imtiaz Ali has only given two hit movies at the box office till date – Love Aaj Kal and Jab We Met. Both of them were released in the 2000s decade, the best era for Bollywood rom-coms. From Love Aaj Kal (2009) onwards, even the highest grossing Imtiaz Ali film, Rockstar, had a collection of Rs 68.50cr India nett and a semi-hit verdict.

While going through such a phase where he is the favourite director of millions of people who make his films trend long on OTT platforms, a comeback hit is definitely needed to put him on a greater pedestal. However, Main Vaapas Aaunga does not seem to be that kind of film which can give him a deserving comeback. Its teaser, trailer, and music album have not generated any significant hype.
