Jitesh Sharma takes a blinder to dismiss Sameer Rizvi in RCB vs DC clash

RCB wicket-keeper batter Jitesh Sharma takes an exceptional catch, diving to his right to dismiss the in-form Delhi Capitals batter, Sameer Rizvi. This led to the third dismissal for the experienced seamer Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who has set the stage on fire at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru are the defending champions, and they have left no stone unturned across all three departments to prove why they are the very best since the last season. With their batting being at their explosive best and the bowlers pulling out some remarkable performances, what has made them different from other franchises is their fielding.

Jitesh Sharma baffles Delhi Capitals, dismissing Sameer Rizvi with a blinder

Bhuvneshwar Kumar had already posed a massive challenge from his end with the new ball as he was not letting the batters free his arms and restricted them further with wickets. Nissanka was dismissed in the very first over, as Bhuvi got some stunning movement off the surface.

After having picked two wickets already in his spell, Bhuvneshwar further swung the ball and threatened the outside edge of Sameer Rizvi’s bat. The in-form Delhi batter edged the ball wide of Jitesh Sharma, and the gloveman dived to his left, grabbing one out of thin air.

Jitesh put on a masterclass in the game, as that was a grab that could go into one of the best catches in this season of the TATA IPL.

Phil Salt’s energy has been contagious in the RCB camp

The English batter was not in the best of form with the bat during England’s campaign in the ICC T20 World Cup last month; however, ever since he arrived in the IPL, he has been slowly getting back to his prime. However, Salt’s contributions have been exceptional on the field, which has made him a star attraction on the RCB side.

Starting from their opening game and that stunning grab from Phil Salt to dismiss the set, Ishan Kishan and Salt have done many wonders on the field. Some notable grabs came in the later games as well, like the one to dismiss Rishabh Pant in the last game.

Other than these efforts on the field, Salt has had a massive work rate near the boundary and has kept the bowlers motivated. The motivation could be seen transferred to Tim David as he took a stunning catch running backwards in the last game, and now Jitesh Sharma has also shown glimpses of the inspiration.

KL Rahul is putting on a masterclass against Josh Hazlewood

KL Rahul, the local boy from Karnataka, has returned to play at the Chinnaswamy on his birthday. Having played a spectacular knock on former occasions at this venue and having scored at an average of over 70, Rahul flexes a stunning record at this venue.

Rahul has been dominating the RCB bowlers despite having lost wickets on the other end. Rahul kept with the flow of runs, especially targeting one of RCB’s most economical bowlers, Josh Hazlewood. He took him for 27 runs off his first two overs. Rahul has also continued the onslaught carefully and beautifully against the spinners.
