Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister G. Parameshwara was admitted to a private hospital in Bengaluru on Tuesday (October 27, 2026) after he complained of some discomfort in his chest while he was at an event organised by the State Badminton Association. Doctors said he is likely to be discharged by evening.

He is being treated at Vydehi Superspeciality Hospital and doctors said his condition is stable. Doctors said he walked into the hospital without the need for a wheelchair.”When he came here, his heartbeat was high. But he is doing fine now, and all his other parameters are normal. He is under observation and will be discharged by evening,” V.K. Srinivas, interventional cardiologist at the hospital told presspersons.

Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, and other Ministers, including Priyank Kharge, U.T. Khader, and Yathindra Siddaramaiah, visited the hospital to enquire about his health.
