Kurnool police returned 529 mobile phones worth more than ₹1 crore to their owners at the fourth phase of the Mobile Recovery Mela on Wednesday (April 15, 2026).

Superintendent of Police Vikrant Patil said the police had recovered and returned 2,402 mobile phones worth ₹4.08 lakh to owners across the four phases of the mela. The phones were either lost by their owners or stolen during bus or train journeys or at festivals and fairs, he said. The phones were recovered from Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana, and various districts of Andhra Pradesh, Mr. Patil added.
