LSG provides a medical bulletin about Rishabh Pant’s injury ahead of PBKS clash

Rishabh Pant, the LSG skipper who left the field after being hit on his forearm during their last game against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru and did not come out to field, is reported to be available for their upcoming fixture.

The Lucknow Super Giants made a promising start to their campaign, especially with their bowlers hitting good form against the Delhi Capitals, despite their batters struggling to fire in the tournament. But that has been the story for the past five matches, and the LSG batters are yet to find their rhythm.

Adding to their concerns, injuries have been ruling out players from their camp, and their hearts would have skipped a bit when Rishabh Pant, the skipper, had to leave the field owing to a nasty blow to his forearm while facing a delivery from Josh Hazlewood.

Rishabh Pant is available to play tomorrow; LSG coach gives massive update

Lucknow Super Giants would be heaving a sigh of relief as their skipper and star batter Rishabh Pant is reported to be fine and all set to continue from the next game against the Punjab Kings. The match marks a massive contest in the rivalry week, as the two highest-paid captains clash against each other.

“He is perfectly alright, fit enough to play tomorrow,” Arun told mediapersons ahead of the PBKS game, which will be played in the afternoon. The wicket-keeper batter played one good innings in LSG’s first win against the Sunrisers Hyderabad, but since then, his bat has been silent.

Our biggest challenge would be to get everybody match-ready- Bharat Arun

The bowling coach of LSG, Bharat Arun, looked happy with his bowlers playing a major role in the team’s limited success and also claimed that he is happy that so many young bowlers made a positive comeback after injury.

“Yes, there is always room for improvement but I think we are fairly happy with the way they are performing.” “I am extremely happy with their progress and I strongly believe that coaching commences only when you connect with every individual. Because every individual is different,” Arun elaborated.

He added, “And how quickly I connect with these bowlers is my challenge. And as far as that is concerned, I feel that I have connected well with them. And each bowler is different. So I think what they want from me for every bowler would be different. It’s how I cater to their needs.”

What has been LSG’s biggest concern in IPL 2026?

Lucknow Super Giants might be concerned about the form of their batters, as the likes of Mitchell Marsh, Aiden Markram, Rishabh Pant and Nicholas Pooran have not played a single good inning to give their team some bit of joy.

However, the concern has heightened when players have been ruled out due to injuries. This has been common with pacers on the side, and hence, despite comprising eight pacers, they could manage to include only a handful of them. Mohsin Khan got injured after just one game this season.

“Our biggest challenge would be to get everybody match-ready. So whoever plays is confident of doing well. Your plan should be very flexible. So sometimes, it’s like any other strategy. Even in war, you have this defence and attack,” the LSG bowling coach stated.
