The shares of the company that are engaged in the manufacturing and selling of forged and machined components for the auto and industry sector are in the spotlight after it rose by 4% following Q3 results with 25% revenue growth and a strong defence order book.

With a market capitalisation of Rs. 81,636 cr, the shares of Bharat Forge Ltd were trading at Rs. 1,707.55 per share, increasing over 4% in today’s market session, making a high of Rs. 1,750, up from its previous close of Rs. 1,676.70 per share.

Q3 FY26 Results

Revenue increased from Rs. 3,475.5 cr in Q3 FY25 to Rs. 4,342.8 cr in Q3 FY26, a growth of 25% YoY. EBITDA grew from Rs. 637.7 cr to Rs. 750.2 cr, up 18% YoY, while PBT before exceptional items rose from Rs. 352.2 cr to Rs. 460 cr, marking a 31% YoY improvement. Net profit increased by 28% from Rs. 212.7 cr to Rs. 272.8 cr over the same period.

Revenue improved from Rs. 4,032 cr in Q2 FY26 to Rs. 4,342.8 cr in Q3 FY26, showing a 8% QoQ increase. EBITDA increased from Rs. 715.4 cr to Rs. 750.2 cr, a 5% QoQ rise, and PBT before exceptional items moved up from Rs. 445.2 cr to Rs. 460 cr, up 3% QoQ. Net profit decreased by 9% from Rs. 299.2 cr to Rs. 272.8 cr over the same period.

The company has declared an interim dividend of Rs. 2 per equity share, and the dividend will be paid on or before Thursday, March 12, 2026 to shareholders whose names appear in the Register of Members or in the depository records as beneficial owners on the Record Date, Wednesday, February 18, 2026.

For Q3FY26, the company reported a total segment revenue of Rs. 4,619.1 cr. Of this, Forgings contributed Rs. 3,367 cr, Defence Rs. 681.9 cr, and Others Rs. 570 cr. After deducting inter-segment revenue of Rs. 276.2 cr, the revenue from operations was Rs. 4,342.9 cr

As of December 31, 2025, the Defence order book stood at Rs. 11,130 crore. In Q3, the company secured new orders totalling Rs. 2,388 crore, of which Rs. 1,878 crore came from the Defence segment. It signed the CQB Carbine contract with the Ministry of Defence for the supply of over 250,000 units to the Indian Armed Forces. This order paves the way for substantial growth opportunities for the Small Arms vertical within the Defence business.

For Q3FY26, Bharat Forge’s total export revenue stood at Rs. 909.7 crore, compared to Rs. 1,151 crore in Q3FY25, marking a year-on-year decline of approximately 21%. The overall reduction was largely driven by lower shipments in the Commercial Vehicles segment, especially to North America.

The Commercial Vehicles (CV) segment saw revenue drop sharply from Rs. 499.3 crore in Q3FY25 to Rs. 246.3 crore in Q3FY26, a decline of nearly 51%, primarily due to lower production and inventory de-stocking. Early indicators, such as net orders and a rising order backlog, suggest that the worst of the downturn in North American truck exports may be over.

The Passenger Vehicles (PV) segment performed relatively well in a seasonally weak quarter, with exports increasing from Rs. 242.8 crore to Rs. 259.8 crore. This was supported by improving consumer confidence as trade disputes subside, which is expected to drive higher personal mobility spend.

The Industrial segment showed mixed performance, with revenue marginally declining from Rs. 408.9 crore to Rs. 403.6 crore. Stronger execution in HHP engines and Aerospace helped offset weakness in the Oil & Gas sector, which continued to be affected by low crude prices.

Export Segmentation by Geography

For Q3 FY26, the company’s export revenue was Rs. 909.7 crore, compared to Rs. 1,151 crore in Q3 FY25, showing a year-on-year decline. By geography, exports to the Americas decreased from Rs. 854.0 crore to Rs. 535.5 crore, while Europe rose from Rs. 233.3 crore to Rs. 298.8 crore, and Asia Pacific increased from Rs. 63.7 crore to Rs. 75.4 crore. Overall, total exports fell YoY, primarily due to lower shipments to the Americas, partially offset by growth in Europe and the Asia Pacific.

Looking ahead to Q4 and FY27, Chairman Baba Kalyani expressed optimism, noting that the company has passed its most challenging phase. He highlighted robust demand in both domestic and international markets across sectors.

The execution of the ATAGS project is set to begin in the second half of FY27, and the company anticipates strong double-digit revenue growth along with a proportional improvement in profitability.

The Jammu administration on Thursday (February 12, 2026) banned “cross-gender massaging” and barred bolting of massage spaces from inside, invoking Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023, a law that deals with addressing the issues of nuisance or apprehended danger.

“Cross-gender massage shall not be permitted. There shall be provision of male masseurs for massage of males and female masseurs (masseuse) for massage of females only,” reads the order issued by Dr. Rakesh Minhas, Jammu magistrate.

The order stipulated that “no internal locks, latches, bolts or locking mechanisms” shall be installed in treatment rooms. “Spa or massage services shall not be provided behind locked doors. Installation of CCTV cameras at entry points, reception areas and common areas, excluding private rooms, has been made mandatory with a minimum recording retention period of thirty days,” the order reads.

The order has been promulgated in view of reports that “certain spa and massage centres operating in Jammu district” were allegedly being used for immoral activities, prostitution and other unlawful acts”.

“Thereby posing a threat to public order and safety,” it added.

It directed the employees to “wear identity cards during working hours”.

“No employee below eighteen years of age shall be engaged. All owners, managers and employees, including therapists, receptionists and support staff, must undergo police verification,” the order said.

The owners and managers were directed to submit an affidavit in the form of an undertaking to the nearest police station within 10 days and confirm compliance with all the prescribed conditions.

The Jammu authorities also set the timing of the operation of such parlours from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. “No female employee shall use the premises as a residence or for an overnight stay. Supply or consumption of alcohol or any other intoxicant within the premises has been prohibited. Mandatory production of valid identity proof by all customers shall be ensured and a proper register containing their contact details shall be maintained,” said the order.

The order made it mandatory to display boards in both English and Hindi. “It should carry the category-wise number of beds for male and female sections and details of employees, including their designation and qualifications,” it added.

The Senior Superintendent of Police, Jammu, was directed to ensure effective enforcement of the order. The Sub-Divisional Magistrates and Tehsildars were also instructed “to conduct periodic inspections of such establishments within their respective jurisdictions and submit compliance reports to the office of the District Magistrate”.

It said the order has come into force with immediate effect and shall remain operative for a period of eight weeks from the date of issuance, unless withdrawn, modified or rescinded earlier.

“The District Administration has reiterated its commitment to maintaining public order and ensuring that all commercial establishments operate strictly in accordance with the law,” the order said.

T20 World Cup: Pavan Rathnayake, Dasun Shanaka, Kusal Mendis shine as ruthless Sri Lanka hammer Oman by 105 runs

Blistering half-centuries from Pavan Rathnayake and skipper Dasun Shanaka, along with a composed fifty from Kusal Mendis, powered Sri Lanka to a commanding 105-run victory over Oman in their T20 World Cup Group B clash on Thursday.Rathnayake (60 off 28 balls) and Shanaka (50 off 20) rediscovered form, while Kusal (61 off 45) played the anchor’s role as Sri Lanka piled up a formidable 225/5 — their second-highest total in T20 World Cup history and the highest score of the tournament so far — after Oman elected to bowl.

Oman’s chase never found momentum as early blows left them reeling under scoreboard pressure, eventually restricting them to 120/9.Captain Jatinder Singh was cleaned up by Dushmantha Chameera in the opening over, with Aamir Kaleem and Hammad Mirza departing soon after for single-digit scores as Oman slumped to 36/3 inside the Powerplay. Chameera struck twice with the new ball to finish with figures of 2/19, while Maheesh Theekshana was economical and incisive, returning 2/11 from his four overs. There was a brief counter-attack when Wasim Ali took on Dushan Hemantha, smashing two consecutive sixes to lift Oman to 75/3 after 11 overs. However, the resistance was short-lived as Oman lost three wickets in six balls to slip to 91/6.Theekshana sparked the collapse by dismissing the fluent Wasim for 27 off 20 balls, caught by Kusal. A direct hit from Kamil Mishara ran out Vinayak Shukla the very next delivery before Kusal effected a sharp stumping to remove Jiten Ramanandi for a golden duck.Mohammad Nadeem, returning after missing the opener, fought a lone battle with a valiant half-century, the 43-year-old bringing up his third T20I fifty in 71 appearances.Earlier, Rathnayake made amends for a disappointing World Cup debut against Ireland, where he fell for 5, by producing a sparkling maiden T20 World Cup fifty off just 24 balls. The 23-year-old struck eight fours and a six, surpassing his previous best of 40 at the venue earlier this month.Rathnayake and Kusal added a rapid 94 off 52 balls, keeping the run rate above nine through the middle overs while rotating strike efficiently, with 40 of Sri Lanka’s 96 runs at the halfway mark coming through singles and doubles.Kusal, playing the senior partner’s role to perfection, punished the Oman spinners for width and struck seven fours in his knock before being run out in the penultimate over.Shanaka, who had struggled in the build-up with scores of 1, 4 and 0, turned the tide at the death with a stunning 19-ball fifty — the fastest by a Sri Lankan in T20 World Cup history. He took apart Nadeem Khan and Sufyan Mehmood with a flurry of boundaries and sixes before falling alongside Kusal in the 19th over.Kamindu Mendis (19 not out off 7 balls) provided the finishing touches, hammering two successive sixes off Shah Faisal as Sri Lanka plundered 65 runs in the final four overs to seal a statement win.The 2014 champions now sit atop Group B with two wins from two matches, ahead of Australia and Zimbabwe, who have one victory each.

Starring Lavanya Tripathi and Malayalam star Dev Mohan, Sathi Leelavathi is directed by Tatineni Satya and produced by Naaga Mohan under Durgadevi Pictures. “The fact that someone like Gemini Kiran garu of Anandi Art Creations is presenting the film added an extra layer of glow to the film,” shares Lavanya. “I remember, when we started Sathi Leelavathi, I was pregnant. Republican slams Purdue University for hiring H-1B worker for $149,000 software engineer role: ‘Are there no qualified Americans?’

An Indiana Republican lawmaker criticised Purdue University for hiring a foreign software engineer on an H-1B visa, questioning why the taxpayer-funded institution could not find a qualified American for the same role.Andrew Ireland posted on X that Purdue was hiring “ANOTHER foreign software engineer on a H-1B visa” at a salary of $149,000 a year.“Does anyone believe no qualified American could do this job for $149,000 a year? The same school has graduated tens of thousands of computer science students,” he wrote. “This has to stop.”Ireland has previously raised concerns about Purdue’s use of the H-1B visa programme. Last month, he criticised Purdue University Northwest for filing an H-1B visa application to hire a foreign national as an assistant professor of marketing at a salary of $127,500.

On January 3, he wrote: “Taxpayer-funded Purdue University disclosed it is hiring a foreigner on an H-1B visa to teach marketing.” He added: “Does anyone seriously believe no American in the Chicago area can teach marketing for $127,500 a year? The same university even has a PHD program for marketing students”.That marketing role was listed on Purdue Northwest’s Labour Condition Application from June 1, 2026 to May 31, 2029 at its Hammond campus.Purdue University has been an active user of the H-1B programme. According to US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) data, the university filed 265 H-1B Labour Condition Applications in fiscal year 2025, with 258 approved. The H-1B visa is designed for American employers to hire high-skilled foreigners in special roles including tech and defence. However, some MAGA critics and GOP leaders argue that in fields such as marketing, software engineering and data science, there is no shortage of domestic talent in the US, and giving the same jobs to Indian or Chinese workers coming from abroad is straight up robbery.USCIS data show that 399,395 H-1B petitions were approved nationwide in fiscal year 2024, a 3 per cent increase from 2023. Educational institutions accounted for 5.6 per cent of those approvals. Many ‘America First’ supporters have claimed that high levels of H-1B approvals suppress wages and reduce opportunities for American graduates. At the same time, political figures including US President Donald Trump and business leaders Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy have defended the visa programme as a way to attract highly skilled global talent or the “best of the best.”
