Prince Yadav bamboozles Virat Kohli for a duck in LSG vs RCB clash

Emerging pacer of the Lucknow Super Giants rattles Virat Kohli. The batting maestro of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) had to return with a duck. RCB lost both of their openers in two back-to-back overs in the second innings.

Prince Yadav combined his bowling skills and grey matter to bowl out Virat Kohli. In the first ball of the second over, Yadav produced an outswinger, and for the next, he found the gap between the bat and pad of the batter to dismantle the stumps.

Prince Yadav uprooted the off stump of Virat Kohli

The 140.4kph delivery went through the gate and uprooted the off-stump. Virat Kohli put his bat in front to push the ball on the off side, but misjudged the swing of the ball. Prince Yadav jumped in the air in joy. A huge blow for RCB against the home team, Lucknow Super Giants.

In the absence of Phil Salt, RCB continued with the opening pair of Virat Kohli and Jacob Bethell. Both of the batters failed to produce any resistance against the pace bowling attack of LSG and fell apart in quick time. In the first over of the second innings, experienced pacer Mohammed Shami scalped Bethell. The England batter departed for 4 off 5.

Mohammed Shami spills his magic again

Taking wickets in the first over of the innings has almost turned into a habit for Shami. According to stats, it was the fourth time that the Bengal pacer claimed a wicket in the first over of a match in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League. Virat Kohli fell for the trap quickly, set by Prince Yadav

After the early departure of Jacob Bethell, the onus to take the Royal Challengers Bengaluru forward in the second innings was on the shoulders of Virat Kohli. Prince Yadav did not allow the batter to score a single run, dismissing him. Kohli’s weakness on the deliveries outside of the off stump is well known. Yadav’s plan was clear: to force Virat Kohli to put his front foot on.

Virat fell for the trap. He went to play the ball on the off and missed it completely. RCB lost their second batter for only 9 runs on the scoreboard. RCB will have to score 210 runs in 19 overs to win the match. LSG opener Mitchell Marsh registered a magnificent century in the first innings. He scored 111 runs from 56 balls.
