A campaign titled “Trichy 4 Keralam” was launched by a group of city based organisations on Thursday with the aim of helping over 7,000 flood-affected people of Pathanamthitta district in Kerala.
Collection centres for relief items such as rice and other essential groceries, and clothes have been set up within the city at Cantonment (Maa Kauvery Hospital), Mannarpuram (Vdart), Srirangam, Chathiram Bus Stand, Kattur, Vayalur Road, K.K. Nagar, Thennur, and Ariyamangalam.
The materials can be donated until 5 p.m. on August 9.
The relief campaign is expected to assist people who have taken refuge in the camps at Kozhenchery, Konni, Adoor, Ranni, Mallappally, and Thiruvalla.
