Gujarat Titans (GT) Captain Shubman Gill and Jos Buttler made the run chase smooth like walking in a garden. Without doing anything fancy, these two batters keep the run chase simple by following the very easy method: see-the-ball and hit-the-ball.
At the Ekana Stadium, the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) had a rough day with their batters. Went to bat first, the home team scored only 164 runs in exchange for 8 wickets. Apart from one of their openers, Aiden Markram, who got 30, there were no other batters of the team who had scored at least 20 runs today, against the Gujarat Titans bowling line-up.

After the departures of Gill and Buttler, Washington Sundar and Rahul Tewatia sealed the game for the Gujarat Titans. GT needed only 18.4 overs to win the match by 7 wickets against the Lucknow Super Giants.

“See, definitely not enough runs. There’s nothing. from the fact that they bowled well. I think in a wicket like this, a score like 170 to 180 is a really good score. But, you know, the wicket kept on falling and they put enough pressure on us to get those wickets going,” Rishabh Pant, captain of the Lucknow Super Giants said after the match.
“See, definitely in a wicket like this, like I said, 170 to 180 is a good score. But at the same time, you know, you still have opportunities. I wouldn’t say I’m a hard guy. So there were opportunities in the game. We just couldn’t grab it enough,” he added.
