Rohit Sharma is known for his aggressive batting, but off the field, he has a totally different image. Rohit Sharma is a fun-loving and totally forgetful guy that everyone enjoys talking about. His habit of forgetting things is quite famous across the cricket world.
Teammates – both India and Mumbai Indians – often tease the Hitman because he keeps misplacing important items like his wallet, iPad, and sometimes even his passport. Even Virat Kohli has joked that Rohit forgets things more than anyone he has seen.
Rohit Sharma’s famous habit
One of the funniest moments came when Rohit went for the toss and suddenly couldn’t remember what he had decided. A similar situation even happened again during a recent IPL match. Sometimes he has forgotten his passport and looks confused while counting his own bags.
Even Rohit’s teammates have shared that there were times when the bus had to wait because Rohit went back to his hotel room to pick up something he left behind. And now, his Mumbai Indians teammate made fun of Rohit’s forgetfulness habit at an event amid the ongoing IPL 2026.
Tilak Varma shares how Rohit Sharma forgets his mobile phone
Sharing an instance at the event, Tilka shared: “So, in the morning, Rohit bhai has reached Delhi with his family. So, I’m calling Rohit bhai. He’s not picking up the phone. So, I reached there. And then I said, “I’m calling you,” and he was like, “Oh man, I forgot my phone at home.”
To which Rohit said, “I agree. I accept that I forget. What is there? Everyone forgets. But the important things, whenever I need them, I remember them. Never forget.”

Rohit Sharma wins hearts with kind gesture during practice session
Meanwhile, Rohit won hearts with a simple but touching gesture before the Mumbai Indians’ IPL 2026 match against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). During a practice session at the Wankhede Stadium, one of Rohit’s shots accidentally hit a groundstaff member on the knee.
The staff member was doing his regular work near the field when the ball struck him. After the hit, Rohit immediately stopped his practice and quickly ran towards the injured staff member to check if he was okay.
This small but heartwarming moment was captured and shared on social media, where fans praised Rohit for his humility and respect towards the groundstaff. Now, the clip has gone viral on social media.
It was a simple act, but it once again showed why Rohit is respected not just as a cricketer, but also as a person. The MI shared the moment on its social media handle with the caption: “Beyond the game, it’s heart over everything. 💙 Ro ensured ground staff Siban Biswas was promptly looked after after an unfortunate training incident.” 🙌
