Sooryavanshi scored an IPL century as the youngest ever to do so and then broke a massive tally of records when he returned to feature in a full season for the Rajasthan Royals in 2026. He not only scored runs but also put on a show with his massive shots.

Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper Pat Cummins opted to bowl first against the Rajasthan Royals at the New PCA Stadium in the IPL 2026 Eliminator. However, Sooryavanshi soon made it a nightmare of a decision from the legendary skipper as he unleashed an absolute carnage.
Chris Gayle held the former record with 59 sixes in a single season of an IPL, the most by any cricketer. However, Sooryavanshi has now crossed him in the list with eight sixes by the fifth over of the SRH vs RR game. He has 61 sixes, breaking the RCB legend’s former record.
The greater feat remains that Chris Gayle took a total of 456 balls for those 59 sixes; however, the 15-year-old youngest has just taken 263 balls to break his former record. This remains a remarkable feat for a youngster.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, the young 15-year-old batter, no longer needs much advice from his seniors or even the coaches on the team. While bowling full to the opener remained his only flaw, this time the Sunrisers pacers failed to cramp him in that region.
Sooryavanshi has now scored 650+ runs in the ongoing season of the competition while having struck the ball fearlessly at a strike rate of 237 while having scored a century and four more half-centuries.

Sooryavanshi in contention for MVP after dominant season with RR
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has been in some sublime touch this season and has challenged the greatest of batters in that Orange Cap list. Currently he is at the top of the leaderboard and has gone past Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill.
He is second on the Most Valuable Player tally only behind Kagiso Rabada, but it seems that after his impactful innings in the eliminator, he is likely to go past the South African great. Sooryavanshi’s impact was not due to his form or the number of runs he has scored in the season, but is due to his fearless approach with which they have scored those runs.
