Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma reach Premanand Maharaj in Vrindavan ahead of Afghanistan ODI series

RCB batter Virat Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma visited the spiritual guru Premanand Maharaj alongside his entire family after the team’s victory in the IPL 2026 final.

Indian cricket legend Virat Kohli might be flexing a modernised life and planning to settle in London away from all the limelight here in India; however, he has still shown his spiritual side to the world, paying regular visits to spiritual gurus and temples across India.

Virat Kohli visits Premanand Ji Maharaj with his family

Royal Challengers Bengaluru batter Virat Kohli and his wife, Anushka Sharma, visited Premanand Maharaj after the team’s recent victory in the IPL 2026 final. His team defeated the Gujarat Titans by five wickets in the IPL 2026 final.

Virat, alongside his Anushka Sharma, was recently seen in Vrindavan visiting Premanand Maharaj to seek his blessings. The couple was spotted with Kohli’s family, his elder brother, and his wife. On several occasions, they have been spotted visiting the spiritual guru.

Both of these players were wearing masks, while Kohli donned a full-sleeve T-shirt with pants, and Anushka Sharma wore a white kurti and draped a pink dupatta. They stepped out of the car and were escorted to the ashram barefoot as they advanced to seek Premanand Maharaj’s blessings.

Kohli’s meticulous role in RCB’s consecutive IPL triumphs

Virat played a massive role in the Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s consecutive title triumphs in the IPL. The team waited for 18 seasons for their first-ever title and now has etched their names into the history books by defending their first-ever title in the following season.

Virat played a promising hand throughout the competition as he amassed 675 runs across 16 matches in the season. He has averaged the most among the highest-scoring batters in the competition with a strike rate of 165.84, including a century and five half-centuries.

Virat closed his account with a stunning innings in IPL 2026, when he played a stunning knock of 75 runs in the final to emerge as the player of the match. This marked the fourth consecutive season in which he finished with 600+ runs. Overall, he has amassed 9336 runs in his IPL career with nine hundreds to his name.

Virat Kohli to return to the Indian team ahead of Afghanistan ODIs

Virat Kohli, the legendary Indian cricketer, has now retired from the longest and shortest formats of international cricket. However, he has set his goal on representing India in the 50-over format until the upcoming ICC World Cup in 2027.

Kohli is the second-highest run-getter in the longer format of white-ball cricket and will be chasing 15000 runs in the upcoming series against Afghanistan. India will be hosting Afghanistan for a three-match ODI series that starts on the 13th of June.

Kohli will try to feature in almost every ODI match until the CWC 2027, as he will look to have exposure to the format and the maximum amount of game time before the marquee tournament, where Kohli will aim for a title in probably his final ICC tournament.
