According to Doull, the best batter so far in IPL 2026 is Sunrisers Hyderabad’s Heinrich Klaasen, as he has been scoring runs.
“Best batter for me, consistency-wise, is Heinrich Klassen. I think batting at number four, the numbers he’s put on the board and the consistency shown for Hyderabad, he gets the nod for me,” Simon Doull said.
Best bowler in IPL 2026, according to Simon Doull
For the best bowler’s place, the former cricketer picks the Royal Challengers Bengaluru pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar. The 37-year-old pacer has been in top form since the beginning of this year’s tournament, maintaining his reputation of shaping the ball in both ways. Doull even states that Kumar has delivered the best yorker in the tournament as of now.
“Best bowler, Bhuvaneshwar Kumar, still swinging it, ripe old age of 37, absolutely loving what he’s doing. Who is the best skipper so far in the IPL 2026 season?
The best and probably the most interesting part of the video arrives when Doull was asked to name the best captain in the ongoing Indian Premier League season. Before pronouncing the name, Doull took some time and said, it is the Punjab Kings skipper Shreyas Iyer. He also mentioned that the brand of cricket Punjab Kings has displayed so far has excited him the most.
“Best captain, oh my goodness, best captain so far, oh dear Shreyas, I’ll go with Shreyas because I’ve gone with Punjab for the best team, so I’ll go with Shreyas, the best captain so far,” Doul concluded the video by saying this.
