In Peddi, Ram Charan plays a professional wrestler or pehelwan from a small village of Andhra Pradesh.

Ram Charan’s most popular film at the box office is RRR, an all-time blockbuster period action entertainer directed by S.S. Rajamouli, which grossed Rs 1250.90 crore at the box office.

The new release date of Peddi is locked to be June 4, 2026, after it got postponed from its earlier scheduled release date of April 1, 2026.

No, Peddi is not a remake of any movie. It is an original Telugu sports action drama film.

Peddi is made at a huge budget of Rs 285 crore, making it the third most expensive film of Ram Charan’s career after RRR and Game Changer.

Peddi is directed by Buchi Babu Sana, known for directing Uppena and for working on Ram Charan’s Rangasthalam as a writer.

Ram Charan has many flop films in Tollywood, such as Game Changer, Orange, Bruce Lee: The Fighter, and Vinaya Vidheya Rama.

Peddi will be released on OTT on July 2, 2026, exactly 28 days or 4 weeks after the film’s theatrical release. The OTT platform on which this film will be released is not confirmed.
