Amitabbh Singh, a 1995-batch officer of the Indian Postal Service (IPoS), has assumed charge as the Chief Postmaster General, Kerala Circle. Prior to this assignment, Mr. Singh served as the Chief Postmaster General, Maharashtra Circle. During his career, Mr. Singh has held several key positions in the Department of Posts, including Director of Postal Services, Nagpur; Joint Director, Rafi Ahmed Kidwai National Postal Academy, Ghaziabad; Faculty, Asian Pacific Postal College, Bangkok; Deputy Director General (Training & Welfare), Postal Directorate, New Delhi; and Postmaster General (Mail & Business Development), Maharashtra Circle.
Mr. Singh has also contributed significantly to the implementation of key technology initiatives in the department, including the VSAT money order system and the computerisation of Postal Life Insurance. Mr. Singh’s administrative experience and proven leadership in technology-driven initiatives are expected to provide further impetus to the ongoing modernisation and service delivery initiatives of Kerala Circle, said a statement here on Tuesday.
