The Directorate of Enforcement (ED), Patna Zonal Office, has conducted search operations on Thursday (August 6, 2026) at 5 locations in Munger District, Bihar, under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002, in connection with investment fraud committed by M/s Jollywood Music Industries Pvt. Ltd. and M/s DLMS Jollywood Music Pvt. Ltd.
As per ED, these entities are controlled by a family of Munger (Bihar), headed by Jitendra Kumar Rajeev and his associates.
In a press statement, ED stated that the scam enticed individuals with promises of a “digital job” and doubling their investment.
“The potential investors were lured that by investing ₹2,56,500 and watching 4800 audio/videos on the company’s website per month, they would earn ₹15,000 monthly, with promises of additional bonuses for more engagement. The company also offered additional money for recruiting new investors, even promised bikes and cars to those who brought in many people,” ED said in the press note.
The federal agency further stated, “After collecting investments, the software engineer of the company intentionally slowed down the website. This made it technically impossible for users to complete the required tasks of watching 4800 audio/videos per month. This deliberate manipulation prevented investors from meeting the conditions needed to receive payouts. The cumulative investment in the scheme amounted to around ₹11.67 Crore. Investors were asked to deposit “security money” by investing in one of two main slabs offered for investment.”
ED initiated an investigation based on FIR registered under various sections of BNS, 2023 against Jitendra Kumar Rajeev, Dheeraj Kumar and others, who were found to have enticed individuals with promises of a “digital job” and doubling their investment in Jamalpur, Munger and nearby regions.
Accordingly, ED Patna took up the investigation in the matter in the year 2025. During the investigation, it was gathered that the investments grabbed by the accused were diverted and used for the acquisition of various immovable properties. Accordingly, search operations have been conducted in the residential premises of the Directors, technical/software experts, singers and others, who lured poor investors for high returns and grabbed their investments.
During the search operations, various incriminating documents about immovable property, bank account details, agreements, investment details, list of investors, etc were recovered and seized, which are being scrutinised to proceed further under the provisions of PMLA, 2002. Further investigation is in progress.
