Former Vice-Chancellor of Ambedkar University Hanumanthu Lajapathirai on Sunday (September 13, 2026) said that to cultivate the habit of reading among patients, hospitals must provide reading materials as a pastime for those waiting in the waiting room.
He was speaking after formally inaugurating a library at the V Dental Care premises, established jointly by V Dental Care and Vizianagaram Reads, an organisation promoting reading as a habit.
V-Dental Care Director K.M.K. Ramesh stated that children’s books were also given priority to ensure that parents who accompany their children can develop a reading habit. Vizianagaram Reads founder R. Eswar, Rotary Club Central director Kalyan Viswanath, and others were present.
