Bus seized, 15 challaned during Transport Minister’s surprise check in Guntur

A bus was seized and challans issued to 15 others after Transport Minister Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy conducted a surprise inspection at the Khaja toll plaza in Guntur district on Wednesday (April 9, 2026) evening.

Accompanied by Transport Department officials, Mr. Ramprasad Reddy inspected more than 20 buses and directed strict action against vehicles lacking valid documents and safety compliance. One bus was seized on the spot for failing to meet mandatory norms, and penalties were imposed on several operators for violations.
