Dewald Brevis delivers two surprising names

The Protea batter named Kartik Sharma, and Prashant Veer, the latest additions in the CSK squad. Brevis said that both of those uncapped Indian players are highly talented and young. So, he will love to spend some time with them. Brevis mentioned Shreyas Gopal and Khaleel Ahmed as well. The overseas cricketer said that he shares a very strong bond with Gopal.

“Kartik and Prashant, who came in, I really want to spend time with them because there’s so much talent in them. They will find a way. They are very young. I was there a few years ago. On this stage, they just need to be themselves.”

“Shreyas and I are very close; we enjoy playing table tennis. He’s a class player. Over the months, away from IPL, I see him perform in red-ball games. We’ve got Khaleel, he is a funny guy,” Dewald Brevis said in the video.

Dewald wishes to play with the Mumbai Indians star Tilak Varma

There is no mystery that Brevis has a pretty good relationship with the Mumbai Indians (MI) star Tilak Varma. Before joining the Chennai Super Kings, he used to play for the Mumbai Indians. The middle-order batter made his IPL debut back in 2022 with MI. He spent three seasons with the franchise and built a friendly relationship with the Team India batter.

“Tilak will always be there. It’s funny how we end up playing a bit with each other. Almost every game we play, somewhere there might be a bit of good banter between us. It is really special. When he’s been in South Africa, he’s been to our family house. He’s a great friend of mine,” he said.

Dewald Brevis’s massive prediction on Tilak’s future with MI

The CSK batter further said that he wishes to play with Varma again if the opportunity comes in the future. Brevis predicted that his close friend would play a lot of cricket for MI.

“Over those three years, we really got close. Maybe somewhere in the future, we will play together again, you never know. But I think MI is going to keep him; he is a superstar,” Dewald Brevis mentioned.

On a funny note, the Protea batter claimed that he loves to take a ride in a ‘tuk-tuk’ in Chennai. He praises the quality of Coffee in Chennai as well.

“For me, my favorite thing in Chennai, funny enough, is the tuk-tuk to coffee shops. No jokes. I have been doing it. It’s so quick, the transport. And the coffee is very nice,” he added.
