Chennai Super Kings have finally updated on Jamie Overton‘s injury status after the English all-rounder was spotted mostly in the dugout and managed to bowl just one over in the match against Delhi Capitals.
Overton has turned out to be a crucial asset to the Chennai Super Kings team. At the start of the season, when they were struggling for form, it was Overton who often contributed with both the bat and ball.
In just his second season for the Chennai Super Kings, he has largely contributed to the Super Kings. Having amassed 136 runs across nine games this season, he has also picked 11 wickets in this edition of the competition.

The major concern surrounding the CSK all-rounder Overton started to arise when he was seen not bowling his complete spell against the Delhi Capitals in the tenth game of the season for the Capitals.
Chennai was on the front lines since the first innings, and every time a new bowler was introduced into the attack, they picked a wicket. The Delhi batters struggled once again after having chased a massive target in their last game.
Overton was the last bowling option to be used by the Super Kings. He came in as the sixth bowling option and bowled just one over in the game, despite having picked up a wicket after having given away just 5 runs.

Jamie is the second-best seamer on the CSK side in terms of their wicket tally, only behind Anshul Kamboj. Seeing him majorly in the dugout was a concern for the fans, as he also did not complete his quota of overs, despite a fine first over that also comprised a vital wicket of Tristan Stubbs.

Sanju Samson guides CSK to fifth win of the season
Sanju Samson, the Chennai Super Kings batting maestro who has been their very best this season, despite the lack of batting form in the rest of the batting order, once again took the Men in Yellow home in a comfortable run chase.
After Ruturaj Gaikwad was the star in the last two matches for the Super Kings, the skipper was dismissed early off Lungi Ngidi’s bowling. Urvil Patel soon followed him back to the dugout.
Samson played a staunch knock of 87 runs and took CSK over the line in another match-winning partnership alongside Kartik Sharma. The youngster also contributed to the winning partnership alongside skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad in the last game.
