Nvidia Boosts India Presence, Powers AI Infrastructure

Date:

As India sharpens its AI ambitions, Nvidia is expanding from chips to capital.

Nvidia on 18th February said it is widening its India partnerships. It is teaming up with VC firms including Peak XV, Z47, Elevation Capital, Nexus Venture Partners and Accel India to identify and back AI startups. The move comes amid rising investor interest in India’s fast-growing startup and IPO ecosystem.

Although CEO Jensen Huang skipped the AI Impact Summit due to unforeseen circumstances, Nvidia continues to deepen its local presence. The company supports over 4,000 Indian AI startups through its Inception programme. It is working with government bodies to expand domestic data centre capacity, aligning with India’s broader semiconductor and AI push.

Scaling Infrastructure

Yotta Data Services will host one of Asia-Pacific’s largest Nvidia DGX Cloud clusters under a four-year engagement. This engagement is valued at over $1 billion.

Nvidia has also partnered with Larsen & Toubro and E2E Networks to power AI infrastructure, though E2E clarified no new commercial agreements were signed.

With global giants like Amazon, Microsoft and Google committing billions to India’s AI ecosystem, Nvidia is positioning itself at the core of the country’s AI buildout.
