The Andhra Pradesh government will soon relaunch the ‘Adarana-3’ scheme and distribute modern tools to traditional artisans, A.P. Viswabrahmin Welfare and Development Corporation chairperson Kammari Parvathi has said.

Speaking at the State-level celebrations of Devashilpi Virat Vishwakarma Bhagavan Jayanti organised by the Backward Classes Welfare Department at Tummalapalli Kala Kshetram in Vijayawada on Thursday, Ms. Parvathi said the government is committed to the welfare and economic development of Vishwabrahmins, adding that a special action plan is being drawn for the community.

Ms. Parvathi said the proposal to provide pensions to Vishwabrahmin artisans from the age of 50 has been brought to the notice of the government. She hopeed that a favourable decision would be taken.

Vijayawada East MLA Gadde Ramamohan highlighted the contribution of Vishwakarma artisans to Indian culture and society. Kummari Shalivahana Corporation chairman Perepi Eshwar, former Viswabrahmin Corporation chairman Simhadri Kanakachari, participated in the programme.
