The Andhra Pradesh Department of School Education has invited applications from teachers working in government schools for State Best Teacher Awards-2026.
In a statement on Thursday, School Education Director Thammem Ansariya said the guidelines and timelines for the awards have been communicated to all the Regional Joint Directors, District Educational Officers and Additional Project Coordinators of Samagra Shiksha.
Teachers will be considered for the awards in three categories—self-nomination (One teacher from each category), Recommendation by five fellow teachers and Performance-based selection through the LEAP app.
Speaking about eligibility criteria, she said teachers serving in all managements, except private schools are eligible to apply and applicants must have completed a minimum of 10 years of service.
Ms. Ansaria said eligible teachers should submit their applications to the respective Deputy Educational Officers of their divisions by July 15, 2026.
