In the third over, Arshdeep Singh bowled a short ball to KL Rahul, and the DC opener tried to pull it towards deep square leg. The ball went high in the air, and it looked like an easy catch. Shashank Singh was standing near the boundary and got into position.

Shashank tried to take the catch using a reverse cup technique while moving slightly back. But at the last moment, things went wrong. The ball slipped out of his hands and went for a boundary, leaving Arshdeep embarrassed and angry as the Punjab pacer had already started celebrating.
As soon as the ball dropped, Arshdeep stopped midway in shock, and his reaction said it all. It was a big chance, and even PBKS co-owner Preity Zinta also looked disappointed in the stands.
