Batwara1947 is worth a watch… Yes, it defies the familiar template associated with SunnyDeol films, but it has the emotions, performances, and, above all, the message to strike a chord.

Over here, Santoshi juggles intimate family drama with trauma of migration, violence and chaos. The key is to make sure the spectacle never overshadows the human story. AR Rahman’s music and Javed Akhtar’s lyrics lend a certain prestige to the project.Batwara 1947 has a promising subject, cast and emotional ambition. If you are into Indian history, Partition stories and character-driven Hindi cinema, Batwara 1947 is worth a watch.

Overall, Batwara 1947 seems to be connecting kind of well with audiences because the emotional story and the strong performances do their thing.
