The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has opened the process for the re-evaluation of Class XII students’ marksheets.

The results for the highly awaited exams were declared on May 13, 2026, with a dip in pass percentage being reported.

How to apply for re-evaluation: A step-by-step guide

Step 1: Apply for copies of the evaluated answer sheets

Students must obtain a copy of their evaluated answer scripts before requesting a re-evaluation or verification of their marks. The application window for this step is open from May 19 to May 22, 2026.

Log in to the official CBSE portal using your board examination credentials and select the subjects for which you want to receive the copies.

Step 2: Carefully review your answer sheets

Once you receive the copies of your answer scripts, go through them thoroughly.

Look at all pages to ensure no answers were left unchecked, verify that the totalling of marks is correct, and evaluate the specific marks awarded for each answer. It is important to identify distinct discrepancies here before moving to the final step.

Step 3: Apply for verification of re-evaluation

Upon finding any calculation marks, unchecked answers, or grading discrepancies during your review, you can officially submit a request for verification and re-evaluation.

The application window for this stage runs from May 26 to May 29, 2026.

A panel of experts will review the specific concerns you report. If an evaluation error is confirmed, the board will update your scores.

More than 18 lakh students had appeared for the Class 12 All India Senior School Certificate Examination(AISSCE).
